Meatless Farm Plant-Based Burgers On Menu of 900 Wetherspoon Pubs

Are you wanting to tuck into a plant-based burger while you’re out and about? Well, we’re coming to a town or city near you!

Following a successful trial, Meatless Farm’s meat-free vegan burgers are now available from 877 JD Wetherspoon pubs around the UK.

Our delicious patties are fully branded on Wetherspoon menus and available from almost every outlet in the country. You can choose from a simple Vegan Burger or make it Gourmet with the addition of avocado, salsa and rocket.

With 41% of diners likely to consider choosing a plant-based or meat-free alternative when eating out in 2019, it’s clear that restaurants and pubs need to provide those looking to reduce their meat consumption with real and varied choice, rather than just having one veggie or vegan option.

Morten Toft Bech, founder of The Meatless Farm Co, said that partnering with a “giant” such as JD Wetherspoon is “testament to the fact that plant-based is well and truly mainstream”.

“It’s not about these polarising views between ‘vegan’ and ‘meat-eater’ anymore, it’s about balance and everyone working together to reduce their red meat intake as we know it’s fundamentally better for our planet and health.”

Food development manager at Wetherspoon Oliver Addis said his pub chain had been looking for a plant-based burger that delivers on taste and texture, and Meatless Farm hit the mark.

“The British company is really driving the UK’s plant-based movement and we’re confident customers are going to enjoy this new offering within our pubs.”
