Meatless Farm helps launch Matt Healy’s Plant-Based Revolution
Meatless Farm has teamed up with celebrity chef Matt Healy to help him launch a plant-based revolution.
By opening Grön Kafé in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, the Master Chef: The Professionals runner-up has created an unexpectedly vegan offering with a delicious junk food menu, created with Meatless Farm’s plant meat free range of products.
It’s the third Grön Kafé in the chain, serving vegan and intolerance-friendly brunch dishes, speciality coffee and freshly baked cakes and pastries, building on the success of his flagship fine dining restaurant Matt Healy x The Foundry.
And now, Grön (which means green in Swedish) is launching an after dark concept and turning the ‘keep it clean’ concept on its head with a dirty plant-based takeover with Meatless Farm.
The menu, which consists of stacked Meatless burgers and hot dogs fit to burst, along with loaded fries and mac and cheese, was curated by Matt and his Grön executive chef Natalie Firth.
They set out to tailor comfort food favourites to plant-based tastes, providing something for everyone, from vegans and flexitarians to curious carnivores.
“Trust me when I say you won’t miss the meat,” said Matt.
“It’s the perfect food when you’ve had a few cocktails or a beer just to get stuck into. We’re revolting with food!
“Vegan options don’t need to be boring. We’re working closely with Meatless Farm who are a real forward thinking brand, that share our plant-based tastes and beliefs,” he added.
