Meatless Farm Expands with New Production Facility in the Netherlands

Meatless Farm has opened a new European production hub in Almere, in the Netherlands, together with our ingredient manufacturing division Lovingly Made Ingredients.
This facility will allow us to scale up distribution to retailers and restaurants throughout Europe faster, while also expanding our plant-based range by accelerating product development.
The new hub will produce both Meatless Farm products and textured vegetable proteins and is shared with the first location that was set up by Van Loon Groep specifically for plant-based food.
It builds on this year’s successful launch of a 33,000 square foot Lovingly Made Ingredients facility in Alberta, Canada,
The demand for vegetable proteins is expected to increase sevenfold by 2025. Morten Toft Bech, founder of Meatless Farm, said: “The amount of alternative proteins consumed worldwide last year was approximately equal to two percent of the animal protein market. Demand for plant-based meat substitutes is increasing and this move puts us in a strong position to meet that demand from our partners in Europe.”
