Meatless Meatball Protein Pot added to Pret’s Menu
With autumn on the horizon, Meatless Farm is helping Brits add greater variety to their lunches with a new launch at Pret A Manger.
The Meatless Meatball Protein Pot is the perfect hot lunch to eat on the go, at your desk or after the gym.
The vegan dish combines breakfast mushrooms and a generous portion of beans, topped with our chunky plant-based meatballs, which are already famous from the Meatless Meatball Hot Wrap.
Our Hot Wrap became a top five best seller at Pret earlier this year, moving some of the high street chain’s most beloved classics out of the top spot – a move no new product has done before.
It comes as research commissioned on behalf of Pret found that over half (51%) of British workers are tired of cooking in their own kitchen with more of us working from home throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, two in five (46%) said that they were craving more variety after doing the same thing every day during lockdown, whilst 10% said that they end up eating the same thing for lunch every day.
Briony Raven, UK director of food and coffee at Pret, said that it’s great to see that so many people are wanting to try more elaborate options at lunch time after being in a bit of a rut lately.
