Chilli non carne on chips with jalepenos

Meat-Free Chilli & Chips

  • Half pack of Meatless Farm mince
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp and 2 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder (or more, if you like it hotter!)
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes (400g)
  • Salt & pepper
  • Handful fresh coriander
  • Jalepenos
  • Vegan mozzarella
  • Olive oil
  • 4 medium potatoes chopped in to chips
  • Plain flour

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C fan. In a baking tray add the potato and pour the olive oil over to lightly glaze.
  2. Scatter the flour over the chips so they have a thin coat and then do the same with the paprika powder and salt.
  3. Mix together and put in the oven to cook for 20 mins.
  4. Meanwhile, make your chilli by frying the onions and garlic in a frying pan for a few mins. Add the mince and cook for a further 5 mins until brown.
  5. Once cooked add the spices then stir and add the tin of tomatoes. Stir again and put the lid on and cook on low for 10 mins.
  6. Turn off the heat and stir in some fresh chopped coriander and then spoon on top of the chips, along with the cheese and jalepenos. Grill until the cheese is melted.
