Meatless Farm sausages in a Yorkshire pudding batter

Meatless Toad in the Hole

Ingredients

  • 4 Meatless Farm Plant-Based Sausages
  • 2 eggs
  • 140g self raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 175ml of milk (I used oat)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Gravy, vegetables and mashed potatoes to serve

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
  2. Place the Meatless Farm Meat Free Sausages in an oven proof dish with 1 tbsp olive oil. Bake in the oven for 10 mins or until the sausages start to brown and the oil is hot.
  3. Whilst they are in the oven, put the flour and salt together in a bowl and create a well in the middle. Crack the eggs into the well and add the milk, gradually whisking.
  4. Remove the dish from the oven and pour the batter mix in so the sausages aren’t completely covered.
  5. Place back in the oven and cook for 25-30 mins, until the batter has risen and is golden.
  6. Serve your toad in the hole with gravy, mashed potatoes and vegetables.
