1 tbsp olive oil + 1 tbsp for browning the meatless balls
15g fresh chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp vegetable bouillon
Salt and pepper to taste
Using the bowl of your Ninja Kitchen System and the metal blade, pour in the chopped onion, garlic, chorizo, parsley, paprika, salt and pepper – pulse several times to mush the ingredients together.
Add the fresh mince bit by bit and repeat the process until you have used up all of the mince, once all the ingredients have combined together roll into balls.
Place the meatless balls in the fridge while you prepare the marinara sauce – at this point preheat the oven to 180C degrees
To prepare the sauce, bring a saucepan to medium-low heat and pour in the olive oil, allow the olive oil to heat gently and add the fresh tomatoes, passata, parley, garlic powder, bouillon, salt and pepper. Simmer for approximately 30-45 minutes at low temperature – stirring occasionally.
Bring a non-stick pan to medium heat and add the olive oil, add the meatless balls to brown – brown them for a minute on each side – then place them in a baking tray and in the oven to cook for 15-17 minutes.
Then remove the meatless balls from the oven and mix them with the marinara sauce.
Serve with crusty bread or pasta.
