The judging panel considered over 220 entries from 24 countries across 15 different categories, showing yet again that the demand and offering of plant-based foods continues to grow at a rapid pace.

Winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony on 2 October at 5pm (BST), in association with Plant Based World, on FoodBev Media’s YouTube channel. Those wishing to watch and find out whether Meatless Farm comes away with the prize can subscribe here.

Kasper Vesth,  North America General Manager, said that it was an honor for Meatless Farm to be named as one of the finalists.

“It’s been a huge year for the plant-based food industry as innovation in this space continues to grow and consumers continue to raise the bar of what they expect from plant-based foods and companies.

“To be selected as one of the top brands in the plant-based business category is such a great testament to our work as a brand, especially as we continue to expand our presence across the globe.”

“After witnessing the quality of entries in our first year hosting the World Plant-Based Awards, it is clear that innovation in this sector is booming. To see over 200 entries from around the world also confirms what we predicted, that not only is the plant-based market a truly international one, it is one that will continue to grow,” FoodBev Media marketing manager Matthew Rushton said.

“Our awards celebrate some of the most ambitious new plant-based products of 2020 from both established brands and start-ups. Whilst we would have loved to celebrate these successes at the Plant Based World Conference & Expo in New York, we can’t wait to watch the ceremony with you all on October 2.”
